Delete Your Account

⚠️ Important: Account Deletion is Permanent
Once your account is deleted, this action cannot be undone. All your data will be permanently removed from our servers.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your Kestralis account, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Account Information: Your email address, username, and authentication credentials
- Cloud-Synced Data: All schedules, tasks, and settings stored in Firebase
- Subscription Information: Active subscriptions will be cancelled (refunds subject to platform policies)
- Analytics Data: Anonymous usage data associated with your account
📱 Local Data Remains on Your Device
Kestralis uses local-first storage. Schedules and tasks stored locally on your device will remain until you uninstall the app or manually delete them. Only cloud-synced data will be removed from our servers.
How to Delete Your Account
Method 1: Delete Within the App (Recommended)
- Open the Kestralis app on any device
- Navigate to Settings → Account
- Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm your decision when prompted
- You may be asked to re-authenticate to confirm it's you
- Your account will be deleted within 24 hours
Method 2: Email Request
If you're unable to access the app, you can request account deletion via email:
- Send an email to support@kestralis.app
- Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- Include the email address associated with your Kestralis account
- For security purposes, we'll send a confirmation email to verify your identity
- Once confirmed, your account will be deleted within 7 business days
Subscription Cancellation
If you have an active Premium or Pro subscription, please note the following:
- iOS (App Store): Subscriptions must be cancelled separately through your Apple ID settings. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel App Store subscriptions.
- Android (Google Play): Subscriptions must be cancelled separately through Google Play. Account deletion does not automatically cancel Google Play subscriptions.
- Refunds: Refund eligibility is determined by Apple App Store or Google Play Store policies. Contact their support teams directly for refund requests.
How to Cancel Subscriptions
iOS (Apple)
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
- Tap your name at the top
- Tap Subscriptions
- Find Kestralis and tap it
- Tap Cancel Subscription
Android (Google Play)
- Open the Google Play Store app
- Tap your profile icon at the top right
- Tap Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
- Find Kestralis and tap it
- Tap Cancel subscription
Data Retention
After account deletion:
- Immediate: Your ability to log in is revoked immediately
- 24-48 Hours: Cloud data is permanently deleted from Firebase servers
- 30 Days: Backup systems are purged (except as required by law)
- Anonymous Data: Aggregated, anonymized analytics data may be retained for statistical purposes but cannot be linked back to you

Change Your Mind?
Before deleting your account, consider these alternatives:
- Pause Cloud Sync: You can disable cloud synchronization while keeping your account active
- Downgrade to Free: Cancel your subscription and continue using the free tier
- Log Out: Simply log out of the app without deleting your account
- Export Your Data: Download your schedules before deletion (available in Settings → Export Data)
